The Sports Intelligence Project
The Sports Intelligence Project is a Kellogg initiative exploring how leaders in sports make good decisions around team performance and business outcomes. It brings together students, faculty, and industry practitioners to study intelligence and decision-making in sports leadership. Data and AI are part of the story, but ultimately the emphasis is on the quality of thinking behind the decisions. Our goal is to help solve the sports industry’s hardest problems.
Affiliations
In the 2026 baseball season, I am serving as an Executive Advisor to the Chicago Cubs.
I am also an advisor to Probility.AI, an AI startup that enables roster optimization by predicting player performance and injury.
Research
I research and explore the use of AI and data models to enhance team success. Specifically, I look at the intersection of player performance, availability, salary, and team success. By empirically understanding how various factors contribute to winning, my work can help GMs and owners make better decisions about how to deploy resources and salary.
